Watch my walk-through video of a stunning pavilion home in Palm Cove.
The Palm Cove pier has a resident osprey that is known locally as Scruffy. He/she steals fish from the local fishermen, and is often left treats which he then devours up on one of the light towers. He does tend to make a mess.
Kitesurfer’s were out in force at Yorkeys Knob this morning. Strong winds, about 20 kites on the beach and 6-8 in the water at any one time.
All images taken with Nikon D800 and AF-S 200mm f2G VR2, many with TC-14E III 1.4x converter.

A great shoot at Trinity Beach late afternoon on Sunday. Dee and sixteen friends met twenty years ago when they all lived on Guam. They had a great time in Cairns. A great bunch of fun-loving women.
25 July 2015. A big thank you to the lovely Brooke and Jean-Claude.
A cold start to a glorious winter’s day in Cairns.
The Barron River estuary at Machans Beach on a low tide allows you to walk hundreds of metres out across tidal flats. Sunsets can be spectacular.
The first photograph shows Yorkeys Knob at the left, Double Island and Haycock Island (Scout Hat) off Palm Cove and Mount Sorrow at Cape Tribulation in the distant background.
